Self Care
I most enjoy working with patients who take an active part in their
care. No healthcare provider can do it alone. But I have found
that many of my patients don't know what concrete steps they
can actually take to improve and maintain their health and prevent
injuries. I have tried to provide you with some information that
is not generally known or available to the public.
There is information here for drivers and passengers which is meant as a guide to prevent
or reduce the severity of injuries for victims of motor vehicle accidents, both with
actions you can take if you are in danger of an imminent collision, and with choosing
the next vehicle you purchase in regard to safety features you should know about and
look for. There is a page on general Spinal Health Hints which provides guidelines for
activities of daily living.
I have also provided a section on how your mental attitude affects your health, both
positively and negatively. Always remember that it is most difficult to address a
full-blown health problem, easier to address a problem in its early stages, and easiest
to prevent it from occurring in the first place!
